Geodiversity is the variety of rocks, fossils,
minerals, natural processes, landforms and soils that underlie and
determine the character of our landscape and environment.

Geodiversity is literally all around us. It
influences the way we live, the resources we need and use and how
the world changes. Understanding and valuing geodiversity is
critical to understanding the Earth and the decisions we make for
the future of our environment.
